Fidel Sanchez Buergo
PhD Candidate & Spanish Instructor
Fidel is a PhD candidate and Spanish instructor at the University of Illinois Chicago and at Instituto Cervantes. He specializes in AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP Spanish Literature and Culture, DELE preparation, heritage learner support, and advanced academic Spanish. His teaching combines strong linguistic and cultural expertise with clear, supportive instruction tailored to each student's goals.
Cristina Manteca Gacho
Doctoral Researcher in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences
Cristina is a doctoral researcher in Speech-Language Sciences at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She specializes in individualized support for students with diverse learning needs, including learners with hearing loss, autism, and language-based learning differences. Her approach is student-centered, adaptive, and grounded in each learner's strengths and goals.
